I got it to work and the speed wasn't bad at all. However is there a workaround for machines that don't have d3dx9_35.dll, and you don't have the user rights to install it?

I have a problem in that when I use the ingame Xfire messenger with EVE it will lock up my computer, and I have to power it off by holding the power button. Does anyone else have problems with Xfire and EVE? Thanks

After I change a skill I verify it's training by checking the new end time on it, the flashing square if one is there, and updating EVEMon. We live and learn.

If it happens within 30 seconds as he says, then he's tried it from a cold boot, so overheating shouldn't be the issue.

You can get 5.1 sound, from games that use OpenAL which CCP isn't (yet I hope). You can get 5.1 sound back by using ALchemy but it's not free for Audigy, it's free for XFI cards. EVE HAS NO SOUND!
